July 7 an 8: Fiberglassing the hull

We finally sanded the hull smooth enough to put the Fiberglas on Friday evening. We squeegeed ourselves senseless and got epoxy and Fiberglas all over ourselves, each other, the floor, etc. What a stinkin mess THAT was! But we did a fine job, I think, and we are spreading our coats of epoxy so thin that I think it will take 4 coats just to fill in the fiberglas weave. Yay us! This is the second coat going on this morning. Posted by Picasa

Mike and Priscilla,
Your boat looks great. I am very impressed at your undertaking and the outcome. You have been so determined. It is very good looking. I'm proud of y'all.!! Sorry about your thumb or finger, whatever appendage it was. Is it OK now ?

I will have to take a new photo of the thumb so you can see that he still has it attached. It is ugly looking but seems to be on the mend.
We put the third coat of unthickened epoxy over the fiberglas just now so it won't be much longer before we can flip it over and resume working on the interior and the deck. I hope!
Are ya'll stylin in the pool this weekend?

Yes, I see the thumb is still attached barring a few dents and bruises. I know that hurt !! And now the fiberglass in the finger. Wow. We go to the pool every weekend. It is so nice. When the boat is done, hop in and ride down.
